This year we are in the Jewish Year of 5778. Numerically speaking these can represent: Five as the number of Grace, Seven represents the number of God’s perfection. Three is called the signature of God. Three 7’s then can represent our Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Or in Hebrew can be said: AdonaiYeshua, and Ruach.HaKodesh

For this reason the Jewish Year Calendar is especially interesting to me. There are also seven Jewish Festivals every year and Jesus celebrated them each year that He lived on Earth. He set an example for us. Unfortunately I was never taught about this in the early years of my life. I’m so glad to know about them now in my senior years.

Observant Jews and knowledgeable Christians also celebrate the Seven Festivals today (some say Feasts.) Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah/the New Year rather than, Yom Terurah/Trumpet. Leviticus 23 records a synopsis of “The Seven Festivals of God” given first to Moses and then to Israel, and now to all of us who believe. Good to Study it.

Author Rev. Dan Goodwin says, “These Seven Feasts are the Bible’s built-in prophetic calendar.”  He also says, “If you will get an understanding of them (the Seven Feasts), it will greatly enlighten your view of future events.”  I agree. See his book entitled “God’s Final Jubilee.”

Those who have studied the meaning of these Festivals or Feasts will realize that Jesus while He was on earth, fulfilled the first four, right to the exact day: (1) Passover (Lamb), (2) Unleavened Bread (no yeast of sin in Him), (3) First Fruits (His resurrection), and (4) Pentecost spiritual Gifts imparted Acts 2:1-4 (that followed after Jesus Christ’s Ascension to Heaven).

Now there are three more Festivals to be fulfilled. The fifth and next event on God’s calendar is the Fall “Festival of Trumpets--Teruah” and Goodwin says it is prophetic of the Rapture (our catching away to the Marriage Supper of Jesus--the Lamb of God).

So one of these years, sometime in a September or October this next event will occur. No, we don’t know “the day or the hour” but Jesus said we could know the season. He said to His disciples to “watch and pray.” Another of the signs to watch for is the New Crescent Moon especially as seen from Jerusalem on this Festival. Of course where ever you see the Moon you can see some of this.

It is now 5778 counting from Genesis and we’re getting closer to year 6,000, and near to the last book of the Bible. In fact, the changing of calendars may be off a few hundred years. This helps us not to set an exact date--but it keeps us ready. At least, it does that for me, and many others.

I leave you, my reader, to research further these final three Fall Festivals: 1. Day of Trumpets Rapture Believers; 2. The Second Coming of Jesus, Millennial Reign (1,000 years) peace on earth; 3. Yom Kippur, our coming back to Earth to reign with Christ.

So my Friend, “Keep looking up for our redemption draws near” (Rev. 19:6,7).  Keep listening. The Believers whose lamps are burning, like the ten Virgins, will hear it. The trumpet will call. Some in Jerusalem will see the sign of the Sliver of the New Moon

The Jewish Calendar has marked their New Year as September 8 and 9, 2018.  We both celebrate this important event starting from the night before the event. Christians mark Sepember 8 and 9 The Feast of Trumpets by the Bible, and Jewish history. Pray, look, listen, and live ready.
